The EWHS Symphonic Band consists of all incoming freshmen, beginning band students, and is open to anyone who would like to be a part of the band program. You will advance in individual technique and grow in musical experience in preparation for more in depth study. As a music music student, you will explore the art of music, from the classical ''standards' to pieces by contemporary composers, and you learn will advanced techniques and musical concepts. The EWHS Symphonic Band usually attends at least one judged festival during the year and is the featured performance group at many school functions.

Concert Attire (unless otherwise specified)
Gentlemen:
Black, long-sleeve dress shirt.
Solid black dress pants. Absolutely no jeans or casual wear of any kind.
Black socks and black dress shoes. No tennis shoes. Your black band shoes may be used.
Ladies:
Solid black, ankle-length dress, ankle-length black skirt, or solid black dress pants. Pants should not be form-fitting or leggings.
Solid black shirt or blouse. Absolutely no short sleeves, straps, or tank tops. Necklines should be appropriate and non-revealing. Tops should be solid black, no sheet material.
Black dress shoes. Pumps or sling backs are acceptable. No clogs, crocs, mules, or flip-flops.
